Lidar Services

LiDAR systems mounted on  Unmanned Aircraft Systems are used for topographic LiDAR mapping.

Light Detection and Ranging, or ‘LiDAR’, is an active remote sensing technique that is used to gather spatial data. In its most basic form, LiDAR uses a laser and a sensor to determine the distance between an object and the LiDAR system. Laser returns are stored as a point cloud that can be used to form a ‘picture’ of the object that the laser has struck. When coupled with geographic coordinates, LiDAR becomes a very powerful tool for collecting data about the Earth’s surface.

1. Airborne Laser Scanning
Airborne laser scanning is a rapid, highly accurate and efficient method of capturing 3D data of large areas, such as agricultural or forestry sites, urban areas, industrial plants, etc.

The effective processing of the raw LiDAR data and the generation of an efficient and high-quality DEM remain big challenges, but it is no more a challenge as we swept it over with our experience and mastered it.

Airborne LiDAR can acquire high precision and density elevation data of terrain surface; with support of high-precision GPS and INS, it can build high-precision DTM (Digital Terrain Model) without lots of ground control points.
